Uly Li – Software Engineer & AI Enthusiast A former service worker turned full-stack software engineer, Uly Li is passionate about leveraging AI in new, exciting, and impactful ways. Now working as a Docket Administrator at Broadridge, a fintech company at the forefront of incorporating and improving AI, she remains deeply engaged in the evolving AI landscape. With a background in Cognitive Science and Philosophy from the University of Toronto, Uly has explored the potential of AI—not just as a tool, but as something we must nurture responsibly. She believes that AI will only reach its full potential if we "raise it like good parents", and she is determined to ensure we become the best "parents" possible as AI continues to develop. Her latest project, Bills.ai, is an AI-powered legislative summarization platform designed to inform citizens and reconnect them with their government, making Canadian parliamentary bills more accessible, transparent, and engaging. As a transgender developer, Uly is inspired by diverse experiences and ideas, knowing that stronger, better AI emerges from broader perspectives. The AI race is on, and Uly is ready to ride! 🚀
